Within every person exists a core that is inviolable and whole. We are born with it. However, over the course of our lives, we gradually lose touch with this core—shaped by our personal experiences and influenced by social and cultural conditioning. These changes become visible in the body, manifesting as physical posture. We tense up, disconnect from ourselves, and lose inner contact. As a result, we drift further and further from our true essence and develop an illusion of self. The Buddha referred to this as “Maya,” a fundamental illusion.
Yet, throughout our lives, we carry an unfulfilled longing to reconnect with that inner core. This desire for connection remains, even as we grow distant from it. The tension, separation, and postural patterns reflect how we lose touch with who we truly are—and it is through awareness and gentle practices, such as sound and movement, that we can begin to return to this place of wholeness within.
