Yoga - Sound Massage

In Yoga Sound Massage, we move through a sequence of different asanas—mainly Yin postures. We consciously tune into where gentle stretching is felt and where resistance arises. Accordingly, we support the body with bolsters, cushions, and blankets to promote a restorative effect and to gradually let go of control.

We then place therapy singing bowls specifically on targeted areas of the body to gently deepen the relaxation into the posture. The softly resonating and vibrating sounds—with their deep and overtone-rich frequencies—have a calming effect on both body and mind.

This allows the body to rest gently, to release tension, and to unwind. The soothing sounds invite the body and mind to listen, to feel, and to simply surrender to the moment.

The vibrations support the "unraveling" of the fascia; elasticity may improve, and muscular tensions can dissolve. We slowly transition out of the posture and enter a neutral rebound phase, during which we enjoy the profound silence.

This opens the possibility for a reorganization of body, mind, and soul.

There are different practice sequences within Yoga Sound Massage.

In addition to Yin-oriented sequences, we also practice a more flowing, Yang-oriented version of the Yoga Sound Massage.
